UGC offered 11 cores for five years for the foundation and development of these departments for staffs and infrastructure. Between 2000 to 2016, UGC occasionally provided all the universities with at least to open yoga center for their communities and stakeholders. In 2016 UGC mentioned the following seven courses to be open step by step. 1. Certificate in Yoga, 2. PG Diploma In Yoga, 3. PG Diploma in Yoga Therapy, 4. B.Sc in Yoga, 5. M.Sc. in Yoga, 6. To achieve the purpose of the study thirty school girls from M. Deivanai Achi Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Paganeri, Sivaganga District, Tamilnadu were selected as subjects. The selected subjects’ age ranged from 11 to 13 years. The selected subjects were equally divided into three groups, i.e. two experimental groups and one control group. The experimental group-1 was allotted to circuit training (CT); the experimental group-2 was allotted for battle rope training (BRT) and group-3 acted as control group (CG). The cardio respiratory endurance was chosen as a dependent variable; it was tested by 9 minutes run/walk test. The test was taken before and after the training interventions. Analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) was used to analyze the significant difference, if any among the groups. In order to find out superiority effect among the groups, the Scheff’s Post Hoc test was used. The level of significance was 0.05. After the six weeks training interventions the experimental groups improved the capacity of cardio respiratory endurance. The best improvement was noticed in circuit training. </p> 2023-06-05T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Indian Journal of YOGA Exercise & Sport Science and Physical Education https://jyesspe.in/index.php/ijyesspe/article/view/17 Effectiveness of Conditioning Program on Cardio-respiratory Fitness and Self-concept of Obese Adolescent Male 2023-04-19T13:08:30+00:00 Mritunjoy Das dasmritunjoy1990@gmail.com <p>Obesity is a worldwide epidemic, with prevalence rates doubling over the last 15-20 years, and India has the second highest number of obese children in the world, with 14.4 million. For this, four hundred (400) adolescent girls age ranging from 11 through 15 years from twenty (20) schools of Bhagwanpur – II Block of Purba Medinipur district, a coastal area of the south Bengal. To assess the O-Scale adiposity the skin fold measurements consist of triceps, sub-scapular, supra iliac, abdominal, thigh and calf sites according to ISAK International Standards for Anthropometric Assessment (2011) using the CESCORF Innovare-3 Skin fold Calliper. Collected skin fold thickness in mm was used to assess the %-Fat, total fat in kg and O-scale adiposity by using standard equations. Again the O-scale adiposity was converted into stanine scores from percentile norms. Analysing the collected date it was found that the OScale adiposity is increased according to age except at the age of 12 years as the subjects entered in to menarche resulting in routine blood loss.</p> 2023-06-05T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Indian Journal of YOGA Exercise & Sport Science and Physical Education https://jyesspe.in/index.php/ijyesspe/article/view/24 Mental Imagery Between Indigenous & Ball Games Players: A Comparison 2023-05-25T05:57:46+00:00 Kallol Chatterjee kallolchatterjee1980@gmail.com Ommar Ali ommarali.1996@gmail.com <p>Background: - Ball game is a very popular game all over world and indigenous sport also very popular in India.
